Our Equipment Rental Policies
Terms & Conditions: We charge rent for time out, not time used INCLUDING weekends & holidays.
Rental Time Definitions
4 Hours (1/2 day): 4 consecutive hours during store hours, or overnight charge (out after 4 P.M. and returned before 8 A.M. the following morning)
Day Rate: 24 consecutive hours (8 hours use allowed on metered machines)
Week Rate: 7 consecutive days to the same time (40 Hours allowed on metered machines)
4 Week Rate: 4 consecutive weeks (totaling 28 days) to the same time (160 Hours allowed on metered machines)
Weekend Rate: You may pickup any piece of equipment between the hours of 12:00PM - 1:00PM on a Saturday. This allows you to pay a single day rental rate if returned by 8:00AM the following Monday. Equipment must only be used 8 meter hours or less. All other terms apply (returned clean, fueled, undamaged). Equipment picked up before noon will be charged according to pickup time. Saturday pickup before noon to Monday morning will be charged a two day rate. Friday night pickup to Monday morning will be charged a three day rate. No exceptions to this policy!
Required Identification: Colorado Driver’s License with valid address and Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover Card. The name on the driver’s license must match the name on the credit card being used.
Payment: Prepayment is required on equipment rentals. A deposit must be paid by credit card, no cash deposits allowed. The name on the credit card must match the name on the driver’s license/contract. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for prepayment. Final payment is settled when equipment is returned. Final payment can be made with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or cash.
Damage Waiver: Damage Waiver is not insurance! Damage waiver is 12% of the total rental and covers wear and tear due to normal use on machinery only. It does not cover equipment damage, broken parts or windows, tire damage, etc. This type of damage is the sole responsibility of the customer and will be charged accordingly. Obtaining insurance for rented equipment is the sole responsibility of the renter and is not offered by Canon Rental.
Reservations: You may call for item availability. Reservations are highly recommended and are free. Please give us plenty of lead time for equipment reservations and delivery scheduling. If you later find you need to delay your reservation to another day or time, please let us know so we can accommodate you.
Pricing: Prices subject to change. Please call for long-term and multiple unit discounts. All rental charges are for time out, whether equipment is used or not.
Delivery and Pickup: Delivery and pickup are available at reasonable rates, even on weekends. Please call for the charge to your specific location. All rental items should be gathered in a single location convenient for pickup. We can only deliver equipment to the jobsite. We cannot place equipment inside of buildings, etc. due to insurance reasons. Upon pickup, equipment must be outside of all structures and easily accessible for our truck drivers. If you prefer, you may pickup and return your rental items to our location. Delivery charges may vary depending upon total mileage and the total time it may take the driver to deliver the equipment. Deliveries to military bases and mountainous/difficult terrain areas may be subject to increased rates due to the increased amount of time it may take to deliver. Most deliveries located in the city limits of Canon City are $150 round trip (this includes pick up). Deliveries to the city limits of Penrose and Florence are $200 round trip (this includes pickup). Deliveries outside of these limits are charged by loaded mile and may vary depending on location/road condition. Equipment that requires a lowboy trailer is charged at $175 per truck hour (all hours the truck is running, including return trips/unloading of equipment. Please call us for an exact delivery charge to your location.
Portable Toilet Rental: The service area for our portable toilet rentals is limited to Canon City, Florence, Penrose, and the top of 8 mile hill. Intown toilets have a delivery charge of $25 (includes pickup). Out of town toilets are rented at a higher rate and have a delivery charge depending on mileage. We do not service the copper gulch, texas creek, westcliffe or oak creek grade areas. Instead, we offer a customer carry option to these areas. Please call us for an exact rate and delivery charge to your location.
Fuel Charges: Equipment is sent out full of fuel. If the machine is not returned with a full fuel tank, customers will be charged for the amount of fuel that was used. This amount will typically be taken out of the deposit first, then charged to the card on file for any remaining charges.
Responsibility: Responsibility for rental items remains with the customer from pickup to return. All items should be secured and protected from the weather, vandalism, or theft. Customer will be charged for replacements or damaged items.
Need Assistance? If you have a problem with any equipment, please call us immediately and we will correct the problem. If you don’t call, we cannot fix the problem.
